The key to austere poetry is to find some way to start in the middle again, once you've drafted it and shelved it for a bit. Try that sometime. Cut off the first half of your poem and see if you can work with the second on its own.

That's a very good question. There are other paintings by the artist I had considered, Hilma af Klint, who focuses on opposition in the cosmos in a series called the Swan Paintings. The other Klint paintings are a bit too floral, however. I think it's the "firmest" looking of the paintings (like a logo representing some pairing/opposition).
